Babies and children symbolise new life and will be the people who lead tomorrow. They will live in an increasingly fragile world, and we must take care of it. This concern is reflected in our company’s mission through quality control, safety, durability, and the life cycle of our garments.
CEO, Mac Ilusión
Over 50 years weaving dreams
Manuel, Arturo and Carmen decide to design and manufacture hand-knitted baby clothing. Working day and night, they begin to shape the first sweetest garments for babies’ first months of life.
Using the acronyms of their names, they establish the company MAC ILUSION. The first collections of baby shawls, jumpers and underwear come onto the market. They do not know it yet, but their clothing and their brand will be sold almost worldwide.
In the years that follow, production evolves with the times, from manual flat knitting machines, through mechanical ones, to electric models. MAC ILUSION becomes a benchmark company for knitted baby garments.
Carmen and Oscar, attentive to technological changes, take a new leap forward with electronic knitting machines in pursuit of efficiency. Natural fibres are introduced to achieve the safest and most delicate garments for babies.
With renewed energy, internationalisation begins and the first exports are made. New technologies make it possible to implement the design and production changes and adaptations needed to dress babies all over the world.
Mac Ilusión maintains a local workforce responsible for design, quality and all the details that make its garments unique. Mac Ilusión is committed to the latest textile technology with the aim of building quality into all its products. Today, sustainability has become an essential objective for the company.
Our brand has already consolidated its international expansion and is present in 50 countries, bringing our essence and artisanal quality to families around the world.
